EMS Provider Request for the 2009 Great American Irish Festival

May 8, 2009

Dear Fire & EMS Agencies,

Once again the annual Great American Irish Festival is being held at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds on July 24, 25, 26.  Last year several emergency medical providers and nurses volunteered their time to assist Frankfort Fire Department with EMS on the grounds and for potential emergency transports to medical facilities.

We are looking for any current NYS certified emergency medical providers who may be willing to volunteer four-hour blocked shift or shifts.  Your sponsor agency chief officer must approve all participation.  Your return will be free admission to the event anytime when not volunteering.

Attached is a provider shift schedule example times.  If approved by your sponsor agency, please contact Chief Chuck Conigliaro, as soon as possible to schedule your shift or shifts.

As always, we appreciate your continued support in fostering good community relations with this annual event.  The event brings many cultural and economical benefits to our area.  We look forward to working together to overcome the shortfalls this event places on our staff.  Thank you.

Respectfully,

Chief Charles Conigliaro
